By installing or using the Smart Job Search Assistant Chrome Extension ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Extension.
1. Description of Service
Smart Job Search Assistant is a browser extension that provides job-related insights including salary data, company ratings, work-life balance scores, and AI-powered analysis directly within your browser when you visit job listing pages.
2. Free and Pro Plans
- Free Plan: Provides basic job detail extraction, company ratings, salary insights, and work-life balance scores at no cost.
- Pro Plan: A paid subscription that unlocks AI-powered deep analysis, skill gap detection, interview prep tips, priority data accuracy, and an ad-free experience.
Pro plan pricing is displayed on our website and within the Extension. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.
3. License Keys and Payments
- Pro plan purchases are processed through our payment provider. Upon successful payment, you will receive a license key via email.
- Each license key is valid for one user and may not be shared, resold, or redistributed.
- We reserve the right to revoke license keys that are found to be in violation of these terms.
4. Refund Policy
We offer a full refund within 1 hour of purchase, no questions asked. To request a refund, email us at support@license.smartjobassistant.org with your license key. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method.
Due to the nature of the service, a longer refund window can be abused by bad actors. Hence the refund policy has a short time frame. As we scale, we will be able to increase this window.
Please note that Smart Job Search Assistant is built and maintained by a single developer. While refunds may occasionally take a few extra days to process, no refund request is ever ignored. Every request will be handled — your patience is appreciated.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the Extension.
- Use the Extension for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
- Attempt to bypass license validation or use Pro features without a valid subscription.
- Scrape, redistribute, or commercially exploit data obtained through the Extension.
6. Data Accuracy Disclaimer
The Extension aggregates data from publicly available third-party sources. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of salary data, company ratings, or any other information displayed. Always verify critical information independently before making career decisions.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, code, design, and branding associated with Smart Job Search Assistant are the intellectual property of the developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Extension for personal purposes.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Extension is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Extension, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or career decisions made based on information provided by the Extension.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Extension or Pro features at any time if you violate these terms. You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it from your browser.
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
